A great day today  :o)
Kohel, a former McMurrich student welcomed the opportunity to travel to Chinandega, Nicaragua and work with others to help serve food and mix cement to set a foundation to build a washroom facility in a school. He wanted to do his part to help a region still recovering from an earthquake 20 years ago. Thank you for sharing your journey with us during a lunch 'n learn.

A representative from BullFrog Energy came by today to share their business vision and ways for us as Canadians conserve energy and consider alternative forms of electricity.

Business Day: As a class community it is essential that we work together and come to class prepared each day. To show your commitment to this initiative, you will need to complete your community walk sheet and bring it back on time (Thursday February 7th) to share with your group.  As you walk around in your local community, record your observations of the many different businesses, focussing on the product and/or service that they are selling and/or providing.
Note:  Your community walk needs to be done with a parent/guardian and/or have parent/guardian permission to go with a buddy from class.

MATH: Complete the template of identifying and creating nets of 3D shapes.
DUE Friday: Bowling Project, type up the analysis of the graphs using the feedback provided to bump up your responses (individual / team / 301 vs 308 / boys vs girls); create graphs using Excel spreadsheet.

SOCIAL STUDIES: review your research co-constructed within the Heritage & Citizenship Wiki and be prepared to compare and contrast the information based on the big idea question later this week.
