Congratulations on a great production today during the Shadow Performances.  The photo station, touring and shadow performances were all wonderfully done!

Note:  For those who be going out tonight have a great and safe time trick-or-treating tonight.  Please do not bring in any 'treats' to share with friends tomorrow.  The food policy is still in effect and we need to respect that.  Save your 'sweet tooth' for times outside of the school day.  For those who will not be out tonight, enjoy your time with family and friends at home before the week picks up along with the homework  ;o)

Reflect on your rehearsals today and how you might 'bump up' your roles in shadow to communicate your ideas to your younger audience.  You each have a copy of the script co-constructed by your group.  Review your lines and timing for when you should come into the screen and when props need to be ready to be used.  Please remember that you are in role for the day, as students will be filtering through our class all day.  I look forward to what tomorrow brings  :o)

What a great day to come today as a school and board community to build upon school spirit!  Cheering on two great University teams was exciting.  Our class partnered up with a Grade 2/3 class as travel buddies.  They truly stepped up as role models and setting a good example while travelling via public transit.  Our students also set an awesome example of positive team spirit as we cheered and danced and cheered some more for the competing teams and of course the zambonie driver!  A special thanks to our parent volunteers for joining us today.

Today: there was a chill in the air and a slight drizzle but the weather today held on as the Grade 6 students were able to conduct their math trail of structures in the city; focussing on geometric shapes and patterning.  Students were true ambassadors of McMurrich as they respectfully trekked through parts of downtown making a variety of observations on the range of style in architecture in our growing city. A special thanks to our parents who volunteered with us today.
