Guest Artist: a school-wide project to celebrate McMurrich's 100th Anniversary.  Please bring in your $5 to support this unique art legacy. Also, bring in a painting from a Master Painter from the past 100 years that you would like to reproduce.

MATH: looking at adding fractions MMS: p. 302 #1-9 in partners.  The sharing of ideas from yesterday's learning was both dynamic and well-presented.

Math Blog:  please visit the Number Sense & Numeration Math Blog and share your strategies on how to solve the Pizza Challenge.  We will discuss your comments next Monday in class.


VISUAL ARTS: the landscape line drawing reproductions are dynamic and wonderfully textured.  Class time was provided throughout last week.  Please complete these line drawings for Thursday September 20th.

MEDIA LITERACY: Success Posters are being finalized.  Class time is provided on a rotational schedule for students to work on their posters.  Students with computers at home and whom have access to Comic Life may choose to complete their posters.  Due Thursday September 20th.

CLASS COMMUNITY: Students have been asked to bring in one or two objects and their favourite book to share during the assigned time.  This activity "What's in the Sack" will continue to build our classroom community. 

Scholastic:  order forms have gone home; for families interested in ordering books from these forms, please return the order slip and a cheque for the appropriate amount by Friday September 21st.
